Get involved
Ward 1 is won on doorsteps, not billboards
However much time you have, there is something useful you can do.
Ways to help
Volunteer
Canvassing, phones, data entry, or helping at events. Tell us what you enjoy and how much time you have.
Request a lawn sign
Show your support in Ward 1. The campaign delivers and collects every sign.
Help with an event
Set-up, greeting, refreshments or packing down afterwards.
Host a community conversation
Invite neighbours into your home or a local space so Nadea can hear what matters on your street.
Receive campaign updates
Occasional email about where the campaign is and what it has been doing.
Share a concern
Not ready to volunteer? Tell Nadea what needs fixing in your neighbourhood.
Volunteer
Lend a hand
Volunteers need to be 18 or older. Only the fields marked required are needed, and the campaign will be in touch about what you’d like to help with.
Students: helping with the campaign can count toward your 40 community involvement hours, as long as you are 18 or older. Get it approved by your guidance office first — campaign work is not among the Durham District School Board’s example activities, so it needs your principal’s sign-off. Hours must fall outside school time and be unpaid. Bring your board’s record form when you are finished and we will sign it.
Lawn signs
Put Nadea on your lawn
Lawn signs are one of the most effective things a campaign has. They are delivered and collected by volunteers, at no cost to you.
Campaign updates
Occasional email, nothing more
